Ask the Expert: Local History
Ask the Expert days return to Ipswich Museum and Ipswich Art Gallery as part of an exciting holiday events programme which aims to inspire curiosity and creativity.
On Wednesday 14th February, bring in your own objects and photographs which belonged to your ancestors or that tell a story of local history within living memory – to show to others and learn more about them.
A range of local interest and specialist groups are joining forces with the museum team to offer a great day for all the family, including:
- object handling
- guided tours of the museum
- art and craft
- mini-talks from museum staff, local groups and members of the public (feeling brave?) - a chance to talk about the local history you love!
Experts will be on hand to chat with you about your artefacts, to offer advice about where to find out more, and to unlock the fascinating stories behind some of the Museum’s fabulous local and social history collections. Please note we cannot provide financial valuations.
Check this page again nearer the time for more details.
Free, drop-in (no need to book).
