Walking with Angels
During the period of Thomas Wolsey: Ipswich's Greatest Son, the Town Guides are pleased to offer a number of walks that will explore the sites around the centre of Ipswich connected with Thomas Wolsey and the Tudor age. All of the walks will start from the Tourist Information Centre in Arras Square and finish at Christchurch Mansion in time for either morning coffee or afternoon tea.
While the itinerary for each walk may change, depending upon church opening times, they will provide an opportunity to consider the life of the Wolsey family in Ipswich, and the way in which some significant events in the reign of Henry Vlll impacted on the town. The walks will also consider the very rich heritage of Tudor buildings that we have in Ipswich.
