The Training Museum
Everyone has skills that they can offer and helping to protect our shared heritage is very rewarding and lots of fun.
We aim to share a range of exciting volunteering projects twice a year, at the start of March for Spring – Summer and September for Autumn – Winter. Occasionally roles do pop up in between and we do have some on-going opportunities.
The majority of our volunteer projects do not require previous experience, as we offer training to help get you started.
If you want to learn more about our opportunities, simply contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and ask to join our volunteer mailing list. If are 16 or over, you can apply to the roles listed in the purple box by emailing us a completed expression of interest form.
We are fortunate to work with a large number of volunteers, some of whom have supported the organisation for many years. They make invaluable contributions in a variety of ways, from working on conservation projects to meeting and greeting our visitors. Scroll down to find out more about what it’s like to volunteer with us.
If you’re inspired then why not get in touch.
Special thanks go to our volunteer, William for making this film
“I count it a privilege to work with a nice group of professional people and be allowed to handle and work with objects that, in other circumstances, I would never be allowed to touch.”
“Volunteering is an excellent way to build on the interests you have, be they in Natural History, Archaeology, Art, Social History, or any of the other topics covered by the collections.”
